My Daughters Grandfather built this piece using lumber from skids of paper from the printing company where he worked about the time she was born. It was tired and showed the age.
With some sanding of the 70’s urethane, some new stain and paint the piece came out awesome. The accents on the front were repurposed floor greats from Southern Architectural Accents. The hardware was original handles from the letterpress type trays from the print shop
I surprised my daughter on her birthday with this and now it is the main foyer accent in her beautiful home. Pop would be proud to know she has it.
